City of Brno
The city of Brno is located in the very heart of Central Europe on a virtual junction of connecting lines among the capital cities of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. The country’s second largest city, easily accessible thanks to its international airport, has 380,000 inhabitants, but thanks to a number of commuters, as many as 550,000 people live here during weekdays. The young soul of the city is kept thanks to 75,000 students attending a total of 13 universities; more than 12,000 researchers ensure interaction with the best of science and research. This modern and dynamically developing city is the centre of sport and culture and hosts a number of international happenings and events – MOTO GP, Janáček Brno Music Festival, International Biennial of Graphic Design, Olympic Festival, and more.
